I am running Apache 1.3.33 (Windows) with MySQL
I would like to be able to count the number of times files are being downloaded, but I don't want to create some kind of PHP page wich uses links like this: http://www.website.com/download.php?file=xxx
The reason for this is because I want to just copy the files to the htdocs folder, and I don't want to have to do anything else to make the counts work.
-So I am looking for either some way of getting Apache to count the downloads and store the results in MySQL or anywhere else.
-The other option would be an external application that monitors Apache.
Anybody have ideas/suggestions?
Tnx
