I m gonna join university and there they have campus wide wireless internet. It seems that many p2p clients are blocked on the network.

I was wondering if its possible to do this...

On the network i guess they will block ports...
So if using sum tool one can find out which ports are open...
One can just enter that in the Azureus options...
Wont azureus work then??
Same can be done for Ares too rite...
Will the above method work?
Or are there other ways they may be using to prevent p2p use?

Thnx :)

they problaly have their firewall and other security on hihg which would disable p2p use, like not alowing X# of connecions per min, or not allowing incoming unsecured packets. so if your azureus or whatever your p2p client is, if you arent downloading anything even witout the ports forwarded then you problaly cant download. Unmless you get a usenet account but they problaly also block those ports, I'm pretty sure almost all universities are trying to block p2p acess because of the recent riaa attacks on some schools.
