anon Proxy server

does anyone know how I can use an anonymous proxy server? how i set it up? my friend at uni was recently hacked (did post before about this) and someone told me about proxy surfing being a good secuity measure for me as well.

Your best option would be to keep your passwords complex, (letters, number, and special characters...) and change them often, every month, or every other month. Also, don't login to these accounts on PUBLIC computers, like computers at a campus library, etc. if you are worried about someone gaining access.


Regarding your friends MSN account getting 'hacked', it could have been done various ways, and could likely have been someone they knew. The ways that this could have been done are all listed in that other thread, and using a proxy server will not help at all.

Best thing to do is use commno sense with passwords, and making sure you log out... (I clear temp internet files, history and cookies after using a public computer).
