AIM disconnecting...

Ok my friend uses AIM (aol instant messenger) and it disconnects like every 15 minutes and she always has her away message on so she doesnt know it cuts off but everyone else does...and the constant signing on and off drives me nuts. She says she has a cable modem, any ideas as to why it randomly disconnects?

I had this problem not too long ago with my wireless ISP. It doesn't happen on dial-up though or on T1 at school. It must be an ISP problem.

Try uninstalling AIM and reinstalling it,or get a new ISP like Beedubaya said.
