adsl gaming and hub server

The other day i was playing Kalonline.
and as always my hub was online with about 50-60 users.

Was chating with a few other players and they said that my dsl line must been espesaly good since i cane play without lag and run a hub att the same time?

dident think this was any spesial at all. Is it?

My line speed is 4400/640. I did told them that. They still said that i shouldent be able to hold a hub and play Kalonline att the same time!

Lokal speed tests gives me around 3600/400 with hub online. (waries more than with hub offline)
and about 4418/625 with hub offline. (waries some)

There are intelligence hub/switching hub that can work like switches now. Many manufacture use the term hubs and switches interchangeably to describe their product.

Yea so your friend were almost right, only if they still think that about the old fashion hub that network class teaches you about.

Your speed will vary depending on how much traffic is utilized, even though 60+ computer are on it, they are probably not doing any network trafficing.

Oh i forgot to say its a dc hub sorry..
Tho the only networktrafic is trivia chat and search. (and acosionaly ban/kick)

And the dc hub is not on the same pc as i play from
connected to internet via a router
