So here i am installing two pc's with b/g capable cards, smiling smugly to myself as the cards just clicked into place, another job going great i think, but no. When confifgured correctly the range between the two computers is 8% at average, though the computers are in fact 10 feet apart at most, whether they are in the room above, in the same room, or next to each other!
Now it would be easy to just run a cable between the rooms though its not really what the customer wants...any ideas? the cusotmer doesnt consider a router a viable option, pings between hosts work intermittently, signal is practically not there, faulty card perhaps? however both report the sameish signals...
