2 Systems 1 Monitor

I have 2 Systems (CPU's) & want to access both of them at the same time using single monitor ( Lcd, Led). The display should be split in 2 screens like how we see in the screen of security camera's.

I know about KVM switch, it does something different. For split screen this function/feature is done by the software or its in some specific monitors.
I heard about HDMI splitter, again it does something different.

In short, i'm looking for the best efficient way of using 2 systems at one time.

Does your monitor support split screens?

If not you could use something like pcanywhere to remote into the other machine and have it running in a window on your desktop.

Well... I have to buy a monitor... I am waiting for a proper solution then i shall buy the hardware... A normal wide screen monitor will do it ?

you never said you were on a budget lol
but this is specialist equipment so don't expect it to be cheap

I think some TV's were built with the ability to display 2 inputs as split screen, but I can't think of any makes\models that have this feature at the moment, you may need to google it

As someone has already pointed out, all you need to do is connect PC1 to the monitor, then access PC2 via remote desktop

Or you could just use one computer and run 2 virtual desktops using VMware

if you give us more information about the tasks you are wanting to perform and\or the reason from wanting to split screen we could try and give you the best advice
