2 nics for internet help

ok I seareched this forum and found some good info on installing to nics and having one for internet sharing with friends and such. I cant find info though on how to have to nics act like one. Meaning I want one nic to handle incoming and the other for outgoing. (if thats possible) btw im using windows xp. Ive done it on linux but cant find info for windows. thanx for any help

are you running XP pro? not sure you can do it under XP home.

Under XP pro set your IP address on the NIC you want to share the internet on to 192.168.0.1 and under the advanced tab of the other networc connection choose the "allow other network users to share this internet connection" (or whatever it says!)

if you want to have them act as one connection then you need to create a network bridge with both of the network connections in it
