18Mbit? I'm only paying for 8!?!?!

I think the gods have rained luck down upon me.

Somehow in some way replacing my modem has given me 18,000 kb/s download and not changed my upload speed at all. Before i replaced my modem i was getting the standard 8000 kb/s download. I'm not kidding either.. look at my sig!

How.. how, HOW!?!?

On speakeasy.net i got 15000 down 1700 up

I even tried different browsers. Same thing!
