My pc uses vista home premium, my moms new eee laptop and uses xp home sp3.
I network both of her pc's on xp successfully using the workgroup name HOME.
I added my vista pc on to the network, heres the deal....
Both of my moms pc can see one another including me, however my pc doesn't see other pc's on the network, and cannot access any shared network folders except the internet....
When I was trialing vista back in 2007 I got it working with no problems.
What is going on that is making making vista not detect the other computers ?

Also it is strange that the other pc's zonealarm firewalls hasn't contacted my firewall for permission to gain access on my pc whenever I network xp......

See if you can ping the other PC's on the network Start run type in CMD then in the window at the command prompt type ping xxx.xxx.x.xxx the x is the ip address of the other pc, if you get a successful ping it's almost always a firewall problem.

To get the ip address of the PC you want to ping on that pc Start > Run> type in cmd> at the prompt type in ipconfig /all
