I cannot get Wine to install on my Dapper version of Linux.

I followed all the steps here:

Wine HQ - Wine for Debian based distributions

I used the console method, and got no error messages... However I cannot find the program itsself. In the Synaptic Package Manager, it says it is installed.

Keep in mind, I don't use Linux much. I think this is the first program I've installed myself, I can't remember.

Another problem though, where the **** is drive_c located? I installed Windows Live Messenger and now I can't find it

reinstall it. Wine is simple to use, its basically windows itegrated into linux, so if you type winefile, go to the directory you want, and do whatever, you'll be fine.

Reinstalled Live Messenger...

Still getting the error messages.

In debug log, it basically keeps repeating lines like this:

err:module:import_dll Library MSNCore.dll (which is needed by L"c:\\program files\\MSN messenger\msnmsgr.exe") not found
