Uninstalling grub

I am using GRUB with the version of Ubuntu i am using and i need to uninstall it but it is controlling the GRUB, the menu.lst is in that partition. How do i transfer control to my other installation. If memory serves, i think grub is on the master boot record.

Do you have another partition with Linux on it that you would like to be the "dominant" partition? (In the sense that IT loads GRUB?)

i have three partitions with OSs, two of them linux one windows. One of the linux partitions has the 'dominant' grub installation, i would like to transfer this to the other linux. From Ubuntu 6.10 => Ubuntu 6.06
