however old you are, thats a nice setup you're proposing, but i'd go with the SLI mobo, that way in the future if you want a cheap upgrade you can just get another one of those video cards for cheap and a decent performance boost.

you should probably get more harddrive space though ... only 160 gigs? i have 1200gigs.

What? Just go to the login screen setup and enable the option to allow root to login to GDM.

Look in the man pages. When I need a root session to run root programs that sudo won't run, I use su - (Just a tip)
