Ok step by step what I did to try to keep my netgear wpn111 usb wireless adapter working.
-using ubuntu 8.10
1. Connected other pc to wired connection downstairs for temporary connection, installed ndiswrapper using add or remove applications then installed windows wireless driver.
2. everything was working fine for a few hours when i brought my computer back upstairs.
3. I was connected still but no pages would load.
4. I tried to remove the driver and reinstall it.
5. Wont even scan for a network anymore.
I'm sorry but if these problems persist then i think i may have to go back to windows on both machines.
I hope someone can help because I was really starting to like linux.
