I tried to download redhat and stuff, but it takes damn long time. Is there any tricks to do it faster. I tried to do it from WS_FTP as well but it's same, after few hrs I decided better leave it. I am in broadband connection
If visit tomshardware.com in an article called "Migrating to Linix: Part I" you can find a link that will send you to a website to purchase the CDs for a few bucks. They also mention that when you download it from the servers there could be another 2000 users downloading it also.
im on broadband and it only took me about 2 hours or so to dload each 700mb iso, trying using a dload manager such as flashget, it will open 5 simulataneous(sp) dloads from the server to try and use all of ur bandwidth and then just let it dload overnite or something while u sleep. even if it takes u 8 hours it should b done in the morning www.linuxiso.org
