surround sound on ubuntu (5.1)

Haha got it working. Well 1 speaker at least 4 more to go.

Heres the site i used "http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=3768914&postcount=60" worked well. pretty straightforward.

Are OSS and Alsa 2 different sound configurators? Cause in the above guide i used OSS and does this mean i should delete all my alsamixers etc?

But Now i got 3 speakers to work. Only 1 rear 1 front speaker and my center speaker work. I'm not sure why but the OSSmixer doesn't recognize the green jack input to be for both (2) speakers in the front or the black/grey input to be for 2 rear speakers and not just. Anyway to tell the program that there are 2?

PS: should i uninstall all the alsa drives/libraries? if so, is it just "sudo apt uninstall "name" "?
