I'm not much of a .bat/.sh scripter, but I'm looking to write a .bat for Windows and .sh for Linux that reboots into the other OS. Why? Obviously I can just pick which OS I want when booting, right? WRONG! This is for a remote PC that I will only have VNC access to. Can't VNC into GRUB's menu, so I'll need icons. I was in Windows on the PC and successfully rewrote menu.lst via Windows (have the ext2fs for Windows driver) and got it into Linux, but editing the file is a really risky procedure, one little flaw and my remote PC is rendered useless (I could call parents and tell them to fix it, but they'd have no clue how to get it up). Does anyone have any information on this?
