I have been interested in Raspberry Pi ever since you posted a link to it on a thread where someone was building a Linux machine.
Unfortunately, I do no possess any programming knowledge, which seems necessay to mess with this thing.

Have you seen it run Quake? It's impressive.

anybody know a release date? I heard that it was finished the initial manufacturing the 20th but I haven't seen anything about a release date... I definitely wanna get my hands on one :)

Yeah, I saw the Quake vid. Pretty cool.

Nobody knows. The Raspberry site isn't saying. Just "the end of Feburary". I'm going to get the Model B. Has more memory.

Try posting that in the "rate the wire management above you" thread.

They are a bit hesitant to say when they will release it. They have stated that the prices will remain the same or lower for the current models. I believe that they hinted at a March release.

What happaned to their USB model that was going to have a dual core?
I think this is a picture of it.

Edit: Here is a short article about the USB model.

The model B also has Ethernet which I think would be good to have. I don't know what I'll do with it yet, but something fun will be in order. I hope it's soon, they've had a ton of interest in it, and for $25/$35 how could they not!!!

Well, that was 291 days ago, so I think they stopped production on the USB.

@Peter - Can you fold with that?

I heard the initial batch wouldn't be widely available to the public and that they would target the educational market with the initial run. I work in education so naturally I've been all over it. The rumored date was Feb 20, however not seeing anything yet suggests they have pushed it back. I also heard the initial batch would not contain a case, so it would be like an open circuit board with the core stuff and that was it. I read somewhere Q3 is when they expect mass production/public rollout to hit.

Please note the above information was gathered from no less than 10 different web sites. What's true or not true is yet to be figured out.

It was that they came out of beta at Feb 20. Selling them out at the end of the month.

As the said yesterday:

Meanwhile, the manufacturing cogs continue to turn. We hope the Raspberry Pis from the first batch will be out of testing by the end of Thursday, and on their way to freight.
