I refuse to use Ubuntu. I no longer have a problem with other people doing it, like my father (who I wish would...), but I simply cannot.
(REASON: It doesn't like my Mac's video card, and no amount of tweaking seems to fix it. Also, one distro across the board is easier for me.)
Also, if you like bleeding edge but not dumbed down stuff, try Etch.

Now General, I thought you were already an Ubuntu user. ya, I will agree, ubuntu install's very easy, the only problem I had was my work comp had and ATI chipset (no problem there) and an ATI video card. That was a problem, but the forums had the fix...just took a little reading. I thought the UI looked very good (except for the color...ya)
I know when my Win XP is gone, im gonna switch to Ubuntu at the home...things just seem to work like that

If you want something automatic, try Automatix ( http://www.getautomatix.com/ ), it is supposedly not as stable or safe as Easy Ubuntu, but I have never had any problems with it.
And, as already mentioned, there is Easy Ubuntu. http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/
