need help finding rom suporting loop devices (android)

so today i have been trying to install ubuntu over android and i had every thing working buuut when i try'd to run boot ubuntu command i found that my droid eris's rom does not support loop devices so i need to find one that does but i dont want to keep re installing roms to find out so if anyone has one that will work please tell me,THANKS!!!
