How long did you leave the battery out? Just a minute or two?

The suggestion that I was given once, and have always followed, was to take the battery out and unplug it from the wall. Then leave it this way overnight.

I've never had a problem resetting a bios password, even though what I probably do is overkill.

take out the battery and the jumper for couple mins then reinsert the jumper first then follow that by the battery then it should reset the bios on it
