linspire os

is the os based on linux any good, it seems alright but maybe someone here used it for its price. and also if you have i heard rumors i can still windows application on linspire os is this true? thanks ahead of time.

i've only sat at someones machine and used it for a few mins... NO, its not worth the price tag.

I agree. Thoug I've never used it, I've read about it. Distro's like these try to make Linux idiot proof. While that is good, the best part of linux is actually learning something. Learning what your system can really do.

Pick up Mandrake (you could buy it to support the community) 10 and play with that.
