hrrrm... well, after looking at their site and a bit of their support docs (which you've probably already done), I'm at a bit of a loss. See if you can burn a copy of v4 (you are using v3 yes?) and check that out... perhaps creating a boot floppy and taking that route might work? I had a similar problem a few years back with a distro (don't remember which) freezing when trying to install onto a laptop... though my problem was more hardware compat. then anything else and I had to put another distro onto that machine to solve the prob.
