Internet slow on Linux

Well I have ubuntu and vista and on vista firefox/internet is really fast and on ubuntu it loads alot slower. any reason why

Details please. Are they both on the same PC? Are they the same version of Firefox?

You can see my PC specs below, the os's are just on different HDD's and i believe there both up to date

Maybe your Vista partition has a lot of the pages u frequent often in the cache?

yeah, try this: in windows vista open up firefox and go to Tools, clear private Data, then visit a page do the same with ubuntu, and go to the same page.

if there is a speed difference now, then it is something else other than cache.

i have found ubuntu faster than windows at browsing, actually, but opensuse is slower, i don't know why.

How are you attached to the internet? If you have a DSL modem directly attached to your computer (i.e. not a switch/router), it could be an MTU issue.
