Installing Linux problem

When I boot the RHD 9.0 install disc #1. I get the the point where it checks my monitor and then is identifies it and all I get next is something about attempting to start native sever X and it being terminated (setting termination or something like that) All I get is a blank screen Any help? Thanks in advance. Yes I know I am a noob to linux

what kind of graphics card do you have?

chances are it isnt compatible or not at least with the generic kernel and set up redhat uses with the install disk

does it give you any prompts right after it initially boots up but before the actual install process?If so, try text mode instead.

I have a Nvidia Geforce Fx 5200

try a text mode install, also go into your bios and prettymuch disable almost everything video related except for agp
