Installing Linux

hello everyone, i just got a copy of linux 9shrike and i want to install it on my pentium 2 350mhz but i have a couple of uestions first

1. is my computer fast enough to run the os

2. how do u install it (keep in mind im completely new to linux so bear with me)

if u guys could answer my questions it would be great

1. Probably, since it runs great on a 700mhz box.

2. Boot of the first install CD, and follow the steps of the installer

Keep in mind that you will probably need 128MB RAM and at least 2GB just to get the operating system, and nothing else. I recommend at least 256MB of ram and 10GB of hard disk space so that you will have room on your drive to install programs.

Remember to partition your hard drive. Use a program like PartitionMagic.

Or RH9 does have its own partition utility on the install disk.
