Hey regiemon,

We meet again, here is A step by step guide to installing wine in Ubuntu, debian and debian based packages, compleate with screenshots and all. Pay particular attention to the Installing from the WineHQ APT Repository with the console section.

Hey Regiemon,

Here is a link that will tell you how to access your windows files in Ubuntu, pay particular attention to the Mounting the windows partition section.

http://www.fbeedle.com/technote/03-01/etude15/etude15.html

as for running wine if you are able to veiw your windows partition, go and find the game.exe (eg. GTA.exe) if n file, this will run it for you, be advised wine is still very much flawed in that it won't run most windows games as werll as they run nativley in windows (you don't expect them to)

if that doesn't work I reccomend cedgea, you can get it from

http://www.transgaming.com/

all you need is to create an account

you cannot run MSword in Ubuntu (wine should do this I THINK) or use an emulator. but I reccomend if you wanna go with somthing Like MS word, you might wanna check out think free office, be warned it costs around $50

hope this helps,

Jake
