i generally rename the package to something short like nvidia-XXXX.run as that makes it much easier to execute.

true but if you have more than one version stored like i generally do it's much more readable than the long string nvidia gives it.

I sort of found a fix to my issue, I went to change the screen res to what I want and checked the make this my default resolution or something like that then restarted and the res went to that resolution that I set and is now staying that way
