The Gnome Volume OSD

It's giant and ugly. I want that small one that you get when you have Metacity running, and there seems to be no way of disabling the huge "fancy" one when you're using Beryl or Compiz. I tried modifying the source but I couldn't get it to compile. I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help me out? It's really annoying me.

??? Lets see...uhh...WHAT is giant and ugly? Small WHAT when you have Metacity running... If it's something when running Beryl, you can check the Beryl Configuration thing...but I don't know what thing you're referring to.

It's not part of Beryl, though, it's part of Gnome.

Ah, I have that too...my comp's a desktop and I never use my keyboard media controls...but yeah, huge. I looked through Beryl Settings Manager and found....nothing
