Feeling stupid

try logging out,then back in as root and startx and see if there's more options,there should be

That works, but won't stay after I log out or switch users... even if I click to make it the default setting.

plus it comes out a little buggy... things stay on certain parts of the screen after i close a window for example

i may just chuck ubuntu and try a different distro.. maybe kubuntu? i've got plenty of CD-Rs to burn..

i might just go back to slackware or try FC4
