Fedora Core 1 Upgrading

Anyone know of an easier, less downtime requiring upgrade from Fedora Core 1 to Fedora Core 3 aside from upgrading through the bootable CDs or DVD? I'd prefer to do it on the root prompt if at all possible as it's a router for our office.

does it do anyhting besides act as a router?

if not, reinstall and install only the minimum needed for it to be a router OR find another minimal type distro and install that instead

not sure of the changes between fedora and fedora 3, consult the changelog at Redhats website or wherever Fedora has one
