Personally, i'd say a minimum of 10GBs for linux. Though, this could be just me. I have 500+GBs in my computer right now, so i'm used to having tons and tons of space (Though, i'm currently using 300+GBs).

First would work better, considering you can get it working, and the second would be easier to set up, assuming it doesn't kernel panic on you when you load the driver.


I assume Broadcom is a company that desgins the wireless cards and such , and is really fussy in linux correct?

Get the torrent, or get one from a torrent site. It will be much faster. I think Ubuntu has their own tracker.
 
Ok what about drivers for my soundcard. I haven't gotten it yet, but I will be soon, but Does linux support it?
