So I went out of town for about a week and beforehand I unplugged my electronics because I'm like that. Today I plugged everything in and everything was dandy, but then when I put in an audio disk it would not mount it. I rebooted again and the problem still persists. The disk is read fine by my CD-RW, though.

I forgot to look in my BIOS after I restarted, so I will do that in a few minutes.

Any help is appreciated.

Greg

Alright. I checked my BIOS and my motherboard is detecting it fine. I also popped open my case to check the connection of the IDE cable and the jumper settings, and those were fine as well.

When I put the disc in the drive just keeps spinning it up and down for a few minutes before stopping.

EDIT: I reverted my fstab back to its original state, and it still did not fix the problem. It's not a problem with the CD either, I tested a few more to no avail.
