Ok I have recently converted from Vista to Debian and I love it! The only problem is I have lost my wireless internet. I go to the network options and the only card I see is the ethernet card, so were is my wireless card? How can I install it and why wasn't it installed upon installation? I will most likely need a pretty quick guide or tutorial seeing I am new to linux.

I have a IBM Thinkpad R52 with 28 gig HD if that helps.

Thanks for help in advance.

What is the make of wireless card?

28 gigs of RAM! - Whoooooa! :)

Whoops not RAM ;) My mistake I'll fix that.

I did a quick google search and came up with this
"Intel Wireless 2200BG (802.11 b/g) Wireless Lan or IBM 802.11a/b/g WiFi card"

I hope that is it, and I can't figure out why it didn't install with the OS. It worked fine in Vista/XP This is what it looks like and its specs

Have you got the right driver files for your card and is it even compatible with Debian...i'm trying to find out if it is...
