I have two hard drives in my system unit, one for XP, and another for Linux (Ubuntu) with GRUBB installed on the MBR on the XP drive, which is the master.

Now to my question; recently I experienced a power outage while I was booted up in Linux. After I restarted the machine, it keeps giving me error messages which lead me to believe that the HD has a serious error. Is there a way to fix that? Something along the lines of completely wiping it like one would do with FDISK back in the day? I've tried reinstalling over the old installation and that didn't change anything.
