Can you use these programs from windows

yea can you use thses programss from windows to linux and if so which linux distro would be good to use for them. these are the programs

flash,
freehand,
fireworks,

Can you use these programs directly? No. However, there is a solution to use these under any flavor of Linux (or UNIX) that runs on an x86 CPU (like yours).

Check out www.winehq.org. The Wine project is a binary-level emulator that acts as an extension of your Linux OS to allow you to compile Windows programs and to run the majority of Windows programs. The programs that fail most often are those that are very DirectX heavily, as most modern games are (although there are Wine branches from commercial sources for that).

So far as your distro question, any would work fine, however for a new user, you may find that SuSE, Fedora, or Mandrake are the easiest to get started with.
