can someone help me with an ubuntu repos list?

i just installed ubuntu dapper drake, everything is fine except i can't update or use apt-get.. i get a failed connection everytime i try.

i've read that this may be because the ubuntu servers are down, and to try another mirror, but i'm confused on how to add mirrors to my sources.list

any help is appreciated. thanks

Th Ubuntu repos and all of ubuntu.com were down almost all day Sunday. But they're working now. Post your sources.list and we can help you add some more.

i'm now getting an error telling me to fix broken packages, but when i click "fiz broken packages" in synaptic, it tells me this..

E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
E: Unable to correct dependencies

i fixed the dependency problem, but i still can't get a good repos list... i've been reading that everyone is going to brazil and uk servers.. but i'm sure those will be bogged down by now too.

there we go! i changed the repos in my sources.list to ftp rather than http... things are working now
