Hello,

I am planning to build a small ubuntu or other linux distro server for hosting a small portfolio website (maximum 10 visits a day) as well as using it as a file server for me and my flat mate to share files with.

Here are the parts I've put together. What I really need to know is if any of the parts are either overkill or too under powered for running apache2 at good speed on

Apart from meeting hardware requirements, I'd quite like it to be as quiet as possible while also being able to be left on for extended periods of time.

Thanks in advance

I've got one of these and I think they make an excellent small server, mine's been running for over a year now 24/7. I had 93 days uptime until I accidentally bumped the power button the other day (last downtime prior was to install a UPS). They're low power, quiet and equipped with ECC memory which is good for reliability on an always on machine.

The parts you've selected will be just fine though.
