I am running Vista currently but I desire to install Linux on a second harddrive preferably Fedora8 or Suse10.3 but I know that early on no linux operating system was capable of dual booting with Vista. Has the issue been corrected?

You can also go to:

http://neosmat.net/

There you can get EasyBCD which will allow you to use the Vista bootloader (If you wish) to boot between Vista and Linux. That might be a good solution for you as well. ;)

This is the route I went. Works really well. I am always deleting and redoing my Linux partitions so it's nice to have a bootloader always working.
