Apache Server..How to enable?

Exactly the question... I tried to enable the http service and although it SAYS it's enabled, but when I click "finish" it says "cannot adjust apache2 service" and terminates. What's the problem? How should I go about configuring it?

has to be done as root, has to be installed as well

you can start it manually as root with httpd

apache config file is in /etc/apache/ something I think

apache's documentation is pretty extensive, it can do alot, your system should have docs,how-to's, and FAQ's in /usr/doc

but I have problems even installing the apache server... so... the documentation doesn't exist yet lol...

why dont you spend some time learning about how to do some basic things first before you get into setting up apache........just a suggestion

have you been to Suse's website, might be a good place to look, most distros do have help at their websites

there's way too many distros for any one person to know all their little tricks and differences, underneath they are all the same, this is why I always give command line answers to fix problems, because its universal and it works
