I like it the cube feature is quite useful when working with multiple applications and I love a bit of eyecandy. Compiz/ beryl have been around for 4-5 years+ long before any other major manufacturers started making dedicated eyecandy apps like aero. As per usual the commercial industry took inspiration for the open source afterall it would be stupid not to.
 
In my personal opinion, one could use KDE just as easy, if your system is running linux or a dual boot OS. This is like messing around with windows shells, they all do the same thing but some are prettier than others. This desktop environment is memory hungry when it comes to your graphics card. I am a minimalist and like to cut down on stuff like this.
 
I like the cube, it's pretty cool. You can also have transparent windows with it, custom themes, wobbly windows, screen zoom, screen invert colors, animations, etc. It's pretty awesome. However it is a Linux application, so if you're using Windows you won't be able to use it.
