Where to go from IT?

Hello! I've been working in IT for about 5-6 years now. I got in right at the end of the BOOM. It's definitely over.

My question is: what do people consider a good career move FROM an information systems job? Has anyone had luck with career switching? Has anyone gone into something like bioinformatics or some other career that heavily involves computers?

I'm just looking for ideas.
