I think it would be a combination of most of the things you said. Not including #12 and #6. To be a good leader you need to always have an open mind, but you always need to do what you think is right. If you're interested in business or something else, there are some awesome auto-biographies. I recently got Donald Trumps auto-bio from a friend of mine. The name of the book was, Becoming a Billionaire. He talked about the things he did to become a Billionaire and the social aspects to have a chance at becoming a Billionaire. It was quite interesting. Another book I liked is the “top 10 CEO’s explain how they made it”. It includes people like Bill Gates, Sam Walton, Michael Dell, etc.

Or you can just invent a new idea or something that everyone will use and can skip all those steps.

Or win lottery. :p

But even inventing or innovating new technology takes those steps. Hence Bill Gates, Michael Dell and all the big time CEO's :)

I guess winning the lottery you could skip all those steps though ! :)

i was at a convention in Reno where Steve Woz spoke. He talked about how his Dad was an engineer. Steve built a bunch of learning projects early. Steve always strived to make his projects with the least amount of parts. Steve did work for TI and went to school where he met Steve Jobs. Woz built a computer and Jobs was right there saying lets sell it.

That is awesome. Steve jobs spoke years back at my college. I believe these people give all of us inspiration (if not, just me :)). I love hearing these people talk about how they made it etc. It has proven to really motivate me to do something with my life.

Back then, you had to buy kits, and solder all the parts yourself. Now a days you have 10 year olds putting computers together. **** putting computers together nowadays is about as tough as it was putting a game into the first nintendo console. :)

A lot of job oppurtuinities are either gone or taken now. Gotta find something more creative to do, maybe start your own business or something? Invest in stocks?

Investing in stocks without have knowledge of the market is foolish :). It is basically gambling, and you'd probally have better luck at a casino. To get around the job problem just go into something where you know you will be able to get a job after college. Like I said before there are many advanced computer jobs that we currently have shortages of in the United States.
