I am currently a student working towards my bachelor in IT/software engineering degree. In my current class - project management and implementation - the instructor wants to us interview an IT professional and question them about how their company handles projects. This can be anything, including tools, techniques, and tactics. Thanks for any help you can provide! :D

Here's how it works:
Step1: The IT director is given a project by someone higher on the food chain.
Step2: He gives the project to one of his techs.
Step 3: Tech completes project correctly and on time. Is praised for his efforts.
Step 4: IT director takes credit, gets bonus.

OMG Project Management class. I remember taking it during the start of my bachelor's, hated it. But you can make a lot of money doing this stuff it's ridiculous, but stressful for me.

Pretty much this is SPOT on except in our I.T. dept we have one more level..It goes from I.T. director to the I.T.manager..then pretty much its all the same..he gets all the credit for a job well done, a new boat $50,000 pay raise and life is good :)
