Help desk refresher help

Hey all,

I have a friend thats trying to get back into helpdesk support. He has been out due to injury for a year and says he doensn't fully remember how to take calls. So I'd thought I'd post up and see if there is a refresher online. Even if anyone has any tips. He used to support connectivity calls for windows xp, vista, mac os 10. He helped setup wireless networks, email support, and minor blackberry support.

I am sure the company he works for wouldnt mind putting him back thru the training class for a day or 2 to give him a refresher. Each compnay has different standards on how calls are to be handled. Even if there was a guide online they might not applky to his company. As each company has a different way to handle each support call.
