Going tomorrow to take my A+ exams (701&702)

I took and passed both my A+ exams today. the Essentials exam i got a 729 out of 675 and the Practical Application exam I got a 740 out of 700, both were lower than i expected but I passed.

Having no knowledge of how they grade these tests, I'm guessing it's normal to score higher than the maximum possible?

They are out of 900, you have to get a 700 to pass or around 80%.

I just finished my freshman year in college. Do you guys think it's too early to get started with some of these certificates? My cousin is in the IT field now and he says that I can get the A+ certification fairly easily this summer. Considering as I don't have much else to do, I figure I could also try to take another one or two, just to be (or at least I think) ahead of the competition.
