I am currently studying as well and as far as books are concerned I got the cisco press books and I also have the Video mentor from CBT nuggets for ICND1 & ICND2.
Let me know if you want the vids I can help you out with that. Some folks have also suggested Sybex book but I think it depends on the person. Any real time experience you can get will always help you with the studies.
