There are better charts out there - aside from the income different people with degrees are far less likely to lose their job and when they do lose their jobs they get gainful employment much faster.

Keep in mind it's all averages. Obviously there are people employed with just a high school degree and unemployed college graduates.

There are no guarantees but with a degree you increase your odds favorably. You still need to be competent and maintain viable skills.
