Why do you want the noctua when the thermaltake 120 is better just strap ona noctua 120mm fin

you are probably right... but Noctua fans are just so expensive by themselves...
maybe I need a scythe flex fan

I've got an interesting offer though, someone wants to trade me his lapped U12P
I thought it was interesting because I don't see a lot of people lapping their Noctua coolers...? (or maybe I just don't browse enough)
I asked for some pictures, he only sent blurry ones, and is not willing to retake picture for me,
do you guys think he messed it up and want to get rid of it?

Only purchase if your 100% happy personally blurry pictures and the in ability to take more wouldn't do it for me. I would like to see clearly and concisely what I was buying also lapped isn't always a good thing as mst cpu covers are slightly curved so you need to lap the cpu aswell. Any forum sale is open to a little manipulation afterall its informal, I would only buy if I had done plenty of research and had clear pics and confidence in the member.

Everything "high performance" is expensive in the pc world why are you surprised? The scythe fans are ok but I believe that noctua are worth the premium

Noctua fans are a little overrated in my opinion, since they are pretty much double the price as slipstreams, if you can find slipstreams on a forum, they usually sell for about $8~10 shipped. Strap 2 on and you'll be fine, TRUE's are pretty **** good coolers, I lapped my black and it keeps my e6750 at 38 without a fan.

TRUE Black Edition, lapped to almost mirror finish.
