Default $99 intel barebone at compusa, and a free system bulding class

Obviously not performance parts but might be decent for a student PC or media center.

CompUSA.com | 103260 | MSI G31M3-L v2 Socket 775 Barebone

Plus on September 19th, Compusa will be having a system building class from 2pm-4pm. If you are a lurker whose never built a system, this could be an amazing oppurtunity to learn how to build a machine and build one for under $200.

Now that compusa is owned by tigerdirect their everyday prices generally are very competitive with newegg's, so you can pick up all your other parts very cheaply as well if you wanted to. They have a 750gb hard drive for $69.99, 2gbs of DDR2 ram for $28, and a dvd burner for $35.

Now, I'm sure every comment to this thread will be of the same attitude, and yeah, the parts are not high quality, but not everyone wants/needs a performance computer, so I figured I'd throw this up here. Also posting on some other forums that might be a bit more receiving of low cost parts.

Hmmm, seems simple just a good cpu and 2gb of ram to start you off and your off.
Thing is though not everyone likes a certain brand especially MSI, their not real decent about their warranty on parts.
Tried that crap on exchanging on a mobo over a year ago that was dead and they refused to except to fix or give back the money yet they want me to spend another 60.00 on a newer mobo ? I smell total BS.......

A mobo and a case with an exploding power supply.....

Newegg.com - Antec Two Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR MCP6P M2+ 6.X AM3/AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 / nForce 430 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards

And you would be at a much better start
